Marc Muir
Partner and Senior Physiotherapist
Available: Monday- Friday 9am - 6pm
Appointments outside of these times can be arranged with Marc if necessary
Marc migrated across the border to Wollongong from ‘Mexico’ (Victoria) in 2003. He spent time working in the public health sector at Wollongong, Port Kembla and Shellharbour Hospitals, before venturing into private practice where he has worked since 2004. A significant portion of his working career was spent at Illawarra Sports Medicine Clinic (2004-2018), and he was part of the Wollongong Hawks medical support team until 2015. Marc joined the team at North Wollongong Physiotherapy as a part-owner in August 2018.
He has extensive experience in providing treatment for:
-
Acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions (such as low back, pelvic/hip, neck and shoulder pain)
-
Sporting injuries (including acute and overuse injuries)
-
Post-operative rehabilitation for hips, knees, ankles and shoulders
-
Workers compensation claims
-
Vestibular conditions and
-
TMJ/jaw dysfunction.

Marc manages each patient holistically and completes thorough assessments to identify risk factors and understand why the injury or symptoms occurred in the first place. By doing so, he can not only treat the symptoms, but also assist his clients to reach their full recovery and reduce the risk of re-occurrence and re-injury.
Outside of work, Marc usually finds himself quite busy with his family life and attempts to keep himself fit with regular running and cycling. He enjoys a range of sporting and leisure activities, such as tennis, golf and surfing (when he can find the ‘spare’ time, which is rare!).
e Saturdays (by appointment only).
